DarrenRUTHERFORD - (INVERNESS, FORMERLY ALNESS)It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Darren passed away unexpectedly, at home in Inverness, on Monday 11th August 2025, aged 45 years.

Beloved son of Mike and the late Muriel, cherished brother of Louise, devoted dog dad of Bella and a good friend to many.

A celebration of Darren’s life is to be held at Inverness Crematorium on Friday 29th August 2025, commencing at 11 am. All family and friends respectfully invited.

All flowers welcome. A donation, if desired, can be made at the service or online to Mikeysline and Change Mental Health.

In shock to read this. Darren & I were close friends when I lived in the Highlands, but I moved back down to the South West about 10 years ago & we sadly lost touch. We spent many an hour sat in Starbucks in the Eastgate Centre, drinking coffee & putting the world to rights. He loved people & animals equally, & was loved for it. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him.
